West Coast Port Congestion
2020-10-26

 Dear Valued Customer,

Increased demand has resulted in extreme terminal congestion and chassis shortage at US West Coast ports, particularly the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, causing many customers to experience delays receiving their containers, securing chassis, making appointments, and finding truckers. According to JOC, the surge is creating "monumental strains on a system that has historically been unable to marshal significant surge capacity."

As a result, we are experiencing significant increases in trucking costs and additional charges, and will begin assessing a Port Congestion Surcharge on October 26th. We apologize for any delays or inconveniences this may cause and are working closely with our carrier partners to mitigate these issues.

Should you have any questions regarding this update, please contact your Customer Service representative.

Sincerely yours,
