This is the latest update regarding the impact of the Coronavirus.
The Chinese central government has responded to the effects of the virus by prolonging the Lunar New Year holiday and keeping businesses closed until February 3, 2020. Additionally, some provincial governments are extending the holiday until February 10, 2020.
OEC is planning to fully reopen its offices no later than February 10, 2020. In the meantime, each office will be open and operate with a skeleton staff to help with any and all problems.
As a result of these holiday extensions, new bookings and shipments may be delayed until the entire country has returned to work. For shipments already in transit, OEC is currently working to ensure that delays are minimal.
We highly encourage that you contact your sales or customer service representative to discuss how this crisis impacts your individual circumstance. In the meantime, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and issue periodic updates as we know more about how your business may be affected by the Coronavirus crisis.
