THE Alliance to Discontinue Calls to Port of Boston

THE Alliance (Hapag-Lloyd, Ocean Network Express, and Yang Ming) has announced that it will be discontinuing service to the Port of Boston starting April 1, because of the port's inability to accommodate vessels with capacities greater than 14,000 TEUs.

 

OEC Group has been preparing alternative strategies for our clients. We are currently coordinating with carriers and are identifying the most optimal alternative routings for cargo moving into the Port of Boston.
