Lockdowns in Southeast Asia May Cause Delays
2021-07-13

Dear Valued Customer,

A sharp increase of COVID cases has forced Vietnam to enact a lockdown of Ho Chi Minh City for 15 days, Indonesia to lock down Bali and its main island Java for two weeks, and Thailand to lock down red zone cities including Bangkok for two weeks. While the ports remain open, we are anticipating the lockdowns to cause, in all regions, cargo slowdowns and a reduction in outbound cargo.

Due to the potential for delays, OEC Group is proactively coordinating with our partners to ensure that shipments are made with the least possible disruption. We are also encouraging our customers to get their orders in earlier than normal in order to minimize the impact of these lockdowns.

Our international offices will remain fully operational during this period and we will continue to closely monitor the situation in Southeast Asia. We will issue periodic updates as necessary. In the meantime, please feel free to contact your sales or customer service representative if you have any questions.

Sincerely yours,

OEC Group
