CN Rail Strike Delaying Cargo
2019-11-20

Dear Valued Customer,

The Teamsters Canadian Rail Conference officially began striking Canadian National Railway on Tuesday, November 19 at 0:01 a.m. EST. Over 3,000 conductors, yard workers and other train workers were picketing Tuesday outside the company's major Canadian terminals. Consequently, this will disrupt shipments on Canada's largest rail network.

OEC Group anticipates the strike will impact cargo moving on CN Rail to the U.S. Midwest through Canada. Containers traveling through the Ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert into the U.S. will likely be impacted the most heavily. We are continuing to track this situation and will notify customers of potential delays to their cargo.

Should you have any questions regarding this update, please contact your Sales or Customer Service representative.

Sincerely yours,

OEC Group
