While en route from Yantian to Long Beach, the ONE Apus encountered severe weather resulting in 1,816 containers lost overboard and many more collapsed and damaged throughout the deckspace. The vessel is seeking refuge in Kobe, Japan where it will undergo inspection and the full extent of the damage will be assessed. We expect lengthy delays and for ONE to declare General Average due to the extraordinary nature of this loss.
