ILWU PMA Contract Expiration Update
2022-07-03

Dear Valued Customer,

While the current contract between the between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) has expired there is, at the moment, no strike or noticeable signs of a slowdown at any U.S. West Coast port.

However, out of an abundance of caution, we are recommending to all clients who have not yet shipped their products to consider booking your cargo on alternative routes through U.S. Gulf and East Coast ports. This will ensure that your cargo will still be delivered to its final U.S. destination, in case a strike or slowdown does occur in the coming days. There is space available.

We will continue to monitor the situation and relay any updates. In the meantime, please reach out to your sales representative if you have any questions about your current individual situation.

Sincerely yours,

OEC Group
